Slow content updates? Random stream uptime? A trickle of shows? What gives, man?! Day jobs and a crazy summer have made Synaptic life a tough one to pursue. Here's whats up:
Layout: Foresight is cool, but retrospect is awesome. While I wanted a cleaner two column layout, I realize that three areas will easily accommodate the newer content we'd like to focus on. That's on the way, along with various features and spotlights to fill that space.
Shows/Podcasts: Damn it all, if I can't harvest a couple of hours to get a Synaptic Audio show together as of late. The bad news is that it's been a while since I posted. The good news is that I've got a few shows lined up. Even better, there are at least 4 new DJs and shows on their way and in the works! Most of all, thanks to Kris for keeping a semi consistent schedule of excellent "I've Got Cheese" shows available! Keep in mind that if you're interested in posting a show, you absolutely can. Check out our "Us" page here.
Servers and the Stream: Last and probably most important - our live stream. The server that broadcasts anything we play live is solid. The box that feeds that server is, at the moment pretty bogged down...old...clunky. As a result, system resources are low, read times ridiculous, and crashes are frequent. Not to worry, a new broadcasting box is on the way (boo, 8 weeks) which will tickle us all with consistent stream uptimes, more content and scheduled shows. Huzzah!
Thanks again to everyone for all of the positive feedback and suggestions. There are definitely more good things to come!
